GPU Compare Table Methodology
Data Sources
Gputiful does not run its own GPU benchmarks. All performance values are derived from publicly available reviews and benchmark databases produced by reputable third-party outlets. Examples of commonly used data sources include:
- TechPowerUp
- Hardware Unboxed
- Gamers Nexus
- Tom’s Hardware
- PC Gamer
- ComputerBase
These reviewers provide transparent testing environments and reproducible benchmark data.
Aggregation Process
Benchmark results from multiple sources are collected and normalized to a shared baseline to ensure cross-source comparability. When reviewers use different resolutions or settings, results may be adjusted to align with 1080p baselines before being averaged.
Normalization
1080p is used as the primary reference resolution because it is the most consistently tested resolution across major reviewers. This allows reliable aggregation without introducing gaps or distortions caused by missing data at higher resolutions.
Averaging
The FPS values shown on Gputiful represent approximate averages calculated from various benchmark results. They serve as general performance indicators, not precise per-game measurements. Individual titles may perform above or below the aggregated values.
Game Selection
The selection of games included in the aggregation is determined by the reviewers themselves, not by Gputiful. Different outlets test different sets of games, and this variation is reflected in the aggregated data. As a result, there is no fixed or exact number of games used in the final averages.
In general, these suites commonly include modern AAA titles and demanding rasterization workloads that represent typical real-world GPU usage.
Limitations
Performance can vary with driver versions, system configurations, thermal behavior, and the specific game lists chosen by individual reviewers. Therefore, the displayed numbers should be interpreted as general comparative indicators rather than absolute measurements.
